Law of the Wild: Prosecution, Protection, and Partnerships Against Wildlife Crime
09/17/2025 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Join us for the "Law of the Wild: Prosecution, Protection, and Partnerships Against Wildlife Crime" Constitution Day keynote address on Wednesday, September 17 at 11:15 a.m. in the Student Activities Center. This keynote address will explore how Georgia confronts animal and wildlife crimes, the legal and enforcement challenges involved, and the ways these issues connect to global networks of wildlife crime. The discussion will also highlight how protecting wildlife strengthens community safety and requires collaboration across law enforcement, prosecutors, and policymakers. Our keynote speaker is Jessica Rock, Georgia’s State Animal Crimes Resource Prosecutor and a Special Assistant United States Attorney. With decades of experience leading landmark prosecutions, drafting animal protection laws, and training professionals nationwide, Rock offers unique expertise at the intersection of law, forensics, and animal protection.

Voter's Guide to GA Candidates
People often don’t vote because they don’t know where candidates stand and are confused about how to find out. Widespread political cynicism, disinformation, and spin don’t help. But nonpartisan candidate guides provide a concise and credible way to compare candidates’ stands and make clear why voting matters. Linked below is one such guide provided by guides.vote, which happens to be the voter guide used by the American Democracy Project. The website provides information on all current races, however the link is to races and issues in Georgia.
