The BSDH program has approval of the Georgia Board of Dentistry and is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).

Notice of Opportunity to Submit Third-Party Comments

The Clayton State University Dental Hygiene Program is scheduled for a comprehensive accreditation site visit by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) on March 23–24, 2027.

In accordance with Commission policy, the Dental Hygiene Program is providing notice to its communities of interest and the public of the opportunity to submit third-party comments directly to the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Comments are invited from interested parties, including faculty, students, program administrators, dental-related organizations, patients, consumers, advisory board members, university constituents, community partners, and other members of the public.

Third-Party Comment Deadline

Third-party comments must be received by the Commission no later than January 22, 2027, which is 60 days prior to the scheduled site visit.

The Commission will accept signed or unsigned comments. Names and/or signatures will be removed from comments prior to forwarding them to the Dental Hygiene Program. Comments must pertain only to the Commission's standards applicable to the Dental Hygiene Program or the policies and procedures used in the Commission's accreditation process.
