Milton Little
Milton J. Little, Jr. became the first African American president of United Way of Greater Atlanta in 2007, following his leadership of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. A nationally respected nonprofit leader, he has helped raise more than a billion dollars to support local communities and has guided United Way’s response to major economic and natural disasters.
In Atlanta, Little spearheaded the Child Well-Being Movement, which includes the nation’s only Child Well-Being Index measuring outcomes down to the census tract level. This work proved vital in 2020 when United Way and the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta launched the COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund, raising over $25 million to support 320 nonprofits.
Before joining United Way, Little served as COO and interim president and CEO of the National Urban League, held corporate philanthropy roles at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, and was vice president for Field Operations at MDRC. He graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College and earned a master’s in urban sociology and social policy from Columbia University.
A native New Yorker, he is married to Shana Davis Little and has three children and three grandchildren.

Sherrie Miller
Sherrie Miller is the SVP, Business Development at ID Logistics US, where she has overseen several years of exponential growth within the US by delivering exceptional value to new and existing customers and keeping a strategic eye on the larger logistics marketplace. ID Logistics is a top 10 global warehouse company with operations in 19 countries and more than 42,000 employees. Within the US, ID Logistics has experienced year-over-year double digit growth, including 31.8% YOY revenue growth in the first half of 2025.
Sherrie began her career in logistics in 2008 and has worked in leadership roles at various other multi-national third-party logistics providers, who relied on her multi-disciplinary expertise in sales, finance, marketing, and strategic planning to grow their brands both domestically and globally.
In addition to her passion for supply chain management, Sherrie is equally passionate about her alma mater – Clayton State University, where she received her BS in Integrated Studies – Management Information Systems and a BBA in Management, as well as an MBA in Supply Chain & Logistics. She is dedicated to giving back to the Clayton State community by serving as a member of the CSU Trustee Board and has been a member of the CSU College of Business Advisory Board since 2018, which she chairs.

Cade Joiner
One year after earning a BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia in 2001, Cade Joiner founded Shred-X Secure Document Destruction, which has grown into one of the largest independent shredding companies in the Southeast and was recognized as one of Georgia’s 100 fastest-growing businesses.
Joiner is the former Chairman of the National Federation of Independent Business of Georgia, representing 7,000 member businesses. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the USG Foundation and sits on the boards of the UGA Entrepreneurship Program, the UGA Athletic Association, the Georgia Research Alliance, and the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. A serial entrepreneur, he also advises multiple healthcare and tech start-ups nationwide. In 2015, the University of Georgia named him one of its forty most distinguished graduates under forty.
In 2018, Joiner co-chaired the Finance Committee for Gov. Brian Kemp and served on the Executive Committee of the Kemp Inaugural. In 2019, he was named Chairman of the Georgians First Commission, which focused on making Georgia the top state for small business.
Student Speakers

Juan Angarita
Juan Angarita is an English major with a concentration in writing, an officer in two student organizations, and a Peer Academic Mentor in the English Department. Reading and writing have always been an important part of his life, and he considers it a privilege to make them a priority during his time at Clayton State University. Using what he’s learned to support his peers has been an especially rewarding experience. After graduation, John plans to pursue an MFA, publish his writing, and eventually teach at the university level. Outside of academics, he enjoys listening to music, spending time outdoors, and sharing good food with family and friends.

Neonta Hayes
Neonta S. Hayes is a driven and accomplished individual with a strong background in supply chain management, procurement, and operational efficiency. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from Clayton State University and is currently pursuing a double Master's degree in International Business and Data Analytics, also from Clayton State. Neonta is a proud mother of 21-year-old identical twins and a veteran of the 9/11 events, experiences that have undoubtedly shaped her resilience and perspective. Her commitment to service and community is further demonstrated by her membership in the distinguished Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Throughout her career, Neonta has demonstrated a knack for optimizing logistics, managing accounts, and ensuring operational excellence. Neonta's academic achievements are equally impressive, including induction into the Golden Key International Honor Society, The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), and the National Technical Honor Society. She has excelled academically, earning a place on CSU President’s List several times and was recognized as the Undergraduate Entrepreneur of the Year in 2025 and a recipient of the 2025 Fortitude Scholarship from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Ebony Swinton
Ebony Swinton is a proud first-generation college graduate, wife of 11 years, and mother of four children. She works in criminal and ethical investigations for one of the world’s largest logistics companies and owns a travel agency that fuels her passion for travel, cruising, and event planning. Ebony takes pride in her integrity, strong work ethic, and drive to challenge herself. Since beginning her journey at Clayton State University in 2022 as a non-traditional student, she has excelled academically, earning a place on CSU President’s List for the last three semesters. Ebony also joined the Honors Program, where she served as part of the programs chair. She has always encouraged her children to pursue more than her academically and has brought them to CSU events and found a sense of community at CSU that became family. She is honored to continue her education in graduate school at CSU, carrying forward a legacy of Laker pride.
