Clayton State University climbs rankings as one of best regional universities in south by U.S. News & World Report
(September 17, 2019) - Clayton State University has moved up among the list of best southern universities, according to U.S. News & World Report 2020 Best Colleges rankings. The university was named among the top 122 best regional universities in the south.
In 2019, the university ranked in the top 141 universities on the list.
Researchers looked at a variety of factors including graduation and retention rates, class size, faculty resources and student excellence.
Clayton State’s nursing program also gained two rankings in this year’s Best College rankings. The school is no. 78 in the nation for best online graduate nursing programs and no. 162 for overall for best nursing schools with a master’s degree.
Accreditation, faculty credentials, acceptance rate, faculty-student-ratio and peer assessment were just some of the indicators used to measure nursing schools.
U.S. News & World Report develops its annual rankings of four-year institutions around the U.S. in order to offer the best information to students and parents when selecting a college.
